Professor Ren C. Luo received Dipl.-Ing, and Dr.-Ing degree in Electrical Engineeringfrom the Technische Universitaet Berlin, Germany. He is currently CTO of Fair Friend EnterpriseGroup, Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Distinguished Professorat National Taiwan University, IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, and Member of the EU IndustrialDevelopment Steering Committee. His research interests include sensor-based intelligentrobotic systems, multi-sensor fusion and integration for intelligent systems, computer visionservo-feedback control system, intelligent opto-mechatronic system, etc. He has authored morethan 450 papers on these topics, and also holds more than 20 international patents. He has helda number of posts in international institutions and organizations, and received many prestigiousawards.
